Step 1: Begin with a clean, lightly moisturized face, but keep moisturizer away from your eyelids, as you'll be applying false lashes later and moisturizer could interfere with their adhering firmly.
Step 2: To get Rachel's "naked skin" look, Grayson recommends using concealer in lieu of foundation just to target trouble areas that may bother you, such as under the eyes or around the nose. Do this by dotting on a tiny bit of concealer with your fingers, then blending in light patting motions until it's diffused.
Step 3: Apply a sheer rose-pink cream blush to the apples of the cheeks using your fingertips, then blend outward toward the cheekbones.
Step 4: Line the entire inner rims of the eyes (both upper and lower) with a black kohl eyeliner pencil.
Step 5: Apply an eye shadow base to the lids. This will create a smooth, matte base on which to place eye shadow and will further keep lids dry in preparation for false lashes.
Step 6: With a tapered eye shadow brush, apply a vibrant shade of matte-textured, fuchsia-violet eye shadow to the entire eyelid, allowing the shadow to extend, or "fan out," horizontally both left and right, so that the inner portion of the lids (the area closer to the nose) and outer portion of the lids (outer edges of the eyes) are bordered by color.
Step 7: With the same tapered liner brush, apply the violet-fuchsia shadow under the rim of the lower lash line. It's a rather broad line, so you can be generous in your application.
Step 8: Next, apply a strip of black false lashes to the upper lash line and let them set a few minutes so that they adhere properly. You may want to try one of the new self-adhesive lashes so you can skip the extra step of gluing ‑- only remember not to pull on or rub them later, as they come off easily.
Step 9: Apply a fine coat of black mascara to the lower lashes.
Step 10: The lips are really understated, so finish with just a single layer of sheer honey-pink cream lipstick.
