Make Homemade Perfume

1.Tear your rose petals into small slivers and spread them out on the surface you are working on. If you must use dried or dead roses, spray with water to rehydrate and leave on the surface for 10 minutes.

2. Squeeze the orange rind over the petals and into the spray bottle for a preservative effect on your rose petal oils. These oils are essential in your perfume, it is what makes the scent linger when you wear it.

3. Add three tablespoons of water to your spray bottle combined with a handful of rose petal slivers. Close up your bottle and shake for 30 seconds.

4.Now place 1 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol to your spray bottle, and shake for 30 seconds. This keeps your perfume water from molding in the month that you store it.

5.Leave your mixture for 12 hours in a well lit area. This allows the scents to mix together without harboring mold. Store your perfume in a dry, well lit area to inhibit molding and souring of the rose petals. If you find this is a problem, remove the rose petals after 12 hours of mixing and do not replace them in the bottle.
