Home remedies for Acne

Administrations of Ointments have very little effect in curing acne. They generally suppress the action of sebaceous glands temporarily. For an effective acne care it is essential to have a proper diet with any type of medication.


Strict diet regimen should be followed in order to recover from acne infection. Starchy, protein and fatty foods should be avoided or restricted. Meats, sugar, refined and processed foods, soft drinks, ice cream, candies, strong tea or coffee and all foods that are rich in sugar should be avoided.


Vitamins such as niacin and vitamin A are very beneficial in acne treatment. Consult your doctor for a proper prescription.


Several home remedies have been proved quite effective in curing acne. Lets look at some of these. The healing pack made out of grated cucumber, cooked creamed carrots and oatmeal cooked in milk is very effective for acne cure. This pack should be applied externally on face.


Orange peel is valuable in treatment of acne. A paste should be prepared out of orange peel mixed with water. This paste should be applied on the affected areas. Lemon is also very effective on acnes and it should be used regularly for an effective sign of relief.


1 tsp of coriander juice, mixed with a pinch of turmeric powder is another effective home remedy for pimples and blackheads. The mixture should be applied on the face every night before going to bed for sleep.


The juice of raw potatoes could cure skin blemishes. Potato has a high concentration of potassium, chlorine, sulphur and phosphorous which cleanses the facial skin. Be aware to use only raw potato as they only contain live organic atoms.


Cumin seed paste is also an effective home remedy on acne. 5 grams cumin seeds paste should be applied on affected areas and should be washed after an hour for quick relief. Paste of 5 grams of sandalwood and turmeric with milk applied on infected areas of skin gives fast relief too. Juice of Aloe Vera (half cup) if taken internally gives a quick relief from pimples.


Another great home remedies for acne include a paste of 5 grams of Henbane with equal quantity of water, which should be applied on acne-infested areas for an effective relief.
